Welcome to Gwynedd Bat Group
The Gwynedd Bat Group is a registered charity working to promote bat conservation in North West Wales.
We are a small network of volunteers in Anglesey, Gwynedd and Western Conwy, including the Snowdonia National Park. We undertake surveys and monitoring of local bat populations and can provide information and advice on bats and bat conservation locally. |

The Gwynedd bat group is a small, friendly society dedicated to helping bat conservation in North Wales. We hold monthly meetings (usually in a local pub), organise training sessions and visit roost and hibernation sites. Bats are increasingly under pressure from an ever changing environment and monitoring and advising on their presence is crucially important for their survival.
We are lucky to have the three biggest roosts of pipistrelles in Wales on our patch, with over 1,000 bats at each, these are some of the biggest in Britain. If you’d like to join us in monitoring these and other roosts, and discovering other sites, or just simply supporting our work please contact us.
